RBC RRSP Member Guide

Welcome to the RBC RRSP Member Guide! Here, we will provide you with all the information you need to know about redeeming for RRSPs through your Reward Program.

1. Setting up a Group Account

To redeem for RRSPs, you will need to first open up a Group Account. The information needed to open a group account can be found in the Reward Description on your Account. 

Make sure to open a Group Account, as funds cannot be transferred over from a Personal Account. 

2. Placing an Order

Once you have set up your Group Account, you can place an order through the gallery. You will see two options: Initial contributions and Subsequent contributions. (See following:)

Select the option that applies to you and follow the instructions provided. Make sure to enter the correct Group Plan ID, which can be found in the Reward Description. (See following:)

The name entered at checkout must match the name on the RBC RRSP Account. If you place an order before setting up your RBC RRSP Account, contact RBC at 1-800-463-3863 to get your account activated. 

Orders placed before the cutoff dates will be processed before the RRSP Deadlines.

3. RRSP Contribution Receipts

RRSP Contribution Receipts will be mailed out by RBC. If you have not received your Contribution Receipt, contact RBC. If you have any questions about RRSP Limits, direct them to the cra.gc.ca website or to speak with the person that prepares your tax return.
